Mojo 206 Challenge Entry

Here is the card I made for this week's Mojo Sketch.  To create this card, I used the following items:
-Cricut Art Philosophy Collection (Z1686) to make the card itself as well as the circles, half circle, little decorative squares, 3D flower, and stamped image.
-Mocha Opaques (Z1333)
-Chocolate Ink (Z2111)
-Pacifica Ink (Z2192)
-Dreaming Level 2 Paper Pack (X7142B)
-Cocoa Grosgrain Ribbon (Z1100)
Thanks for looking!  I plan on giving the card to my mom for her birthday next month.

Card made using the new Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge!!!

Here's a card I made for my last Team Meeting for our create time.  I was able to use the new CTMH cricut cartridge to cut the card, flower, and decorative accent piece.  It's amazing how versatile this cartridge is.  If you want to get your hands on one, click here for details.  Better yet if you want to earn it for half price contact me about hosting a gathering or online party.

Technique Tags

Here are 2 tags I created for the Technique Tag Swap I am participating in this month.  When it all is said and done, I will have 10 tags including the 2 pictured here which demonstrate different stamping techniques and have instructions on the reverse side of the tag.  The two techniques I chose to highlight were PuddlePad Stamping and Random Stamping.  I am thinking about offering a class once I get all the tags so all of my customers could have a technique tag booklet as well.  Let me know what you think and if you are interested in the class. Below the picture are the descriptions from the back of the tags.

PuddlePad Stamping Technique
Items used: C1471 Happy Clusters Stamp Set, Z2294 Sky Re-Inker, Z2297 Pear re-Inker, Z2216 Cranberry Re-Inker, Stack of 5 baby wipes, Large Acrylic Block
Here are some basic guidelines to remember when you are using this technique.
  • ·         Take a stack of baby wipes (about 5) and lay them smoothly across a non-porous surface.  I used a large acrylic block.
  • ·         Take the image you will be stamping and stamp it lightly on the baby wipe stack.  This will be an outline for re-inker placement.
  • ·        Then squirt your re-inker in any color pattern you want on the baby wipes.  The color will bleed together.  That is part of the technique.

  • ·          You have just created your own ink pad.  Now start stamping.  You can rotate your image slightly on your puddlepad to come up with a totally different look.

Random Stamping Technique
Items used: D1480 Snowflakes Stamp Set, Z2125 Grey Wool Ink, Z2126 Heavenly Blue Ink, Z2160 Twilight Ink, Z1482 Glitz Glitter Gel
Here are some Basic Guidelines to remember when you are creating your own Designer Paper.
  • I generally use 3 different stamps in 3 different sizes
  • Stamp your largest, middle, and then smallest in that order
  • You can turn you stamp or paper so your images are going in a variety of directions or keep it more uniform
  • Stamp off  the piece of paper you are stamping on (this makes it look more "natural" or "random")

Customized Name Stamps Make Great Gifts

So I have often wondered short of a return address label, what could I use the customized stamp for.  Thanks to a great friend and fellow consultant, I decided to order a customized stamp for my team mate when she reached her Straight to the Top.  The new fall/winter Idea Book shows great artwork featuring a customized stamp on page 119.  I used their example for inspiration to create a set of 10 cards and envelopes for my team mate.  I stamped the first card with her name stamp and then left the rest blank, so she could make the cards specific to her needs.  Below I packaged the cards and customized stamp in a cello bag and gave it to celebrate her accomplishments!

Cricut Art Philosophy 3D Example

Here is the 3D box and gift card, we made for my Close to my Heart Open House.  It is perfect for enclosing a teacher's gift or gift card.  To make it on your own you will need the Cricut Art Philosophy Collection exclusively from CTMH.  The box is cut at 10.5 inches.  The cartridge is chalked full of over 700 images.  In fact, each botton has the capability to make 2 different cards as well as decorative and 3D items.  I also used the new stamp set Hooray Bouquet to make the flowers, which were also cut on the cricut with the cartridge.  Contact me today to get your own collection!
